The human knowhow has historically enjoyed being on the expansive side, but when push comes to shove, no piece of our knowledge can be deemed more important than what encourages us to improve at a consistent pace. This progressive approach, on our part, has already got the world to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the group. Technology remains atop the stated Mount Rushmore for reasons that are, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look up close for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same has grown increasingly evident over the recent past, and assuming one new GRC-themed development pans out just like we envision, it will only make that trend bigger and better moving forward.
DoControl, the leading SaaS Security Platform (SSP), has officially launched new capabilities to enhance its data security protection offering for Microsoft 365. According to certain reports, the stated capabilities begin by conceiving one of the swiftest onboarding processes in the industry, and that’s irrespective of data volume. Complimenting the same is how DoControl has promised a whopping 20 times increase in account scanning speed. This means the whole Microsoft data collection process can be completed in just a few hours, instead of taking a usual month-long timeline. Next up, we must talk about the pledge of improved data integrity and accuracy. Such an objective is expected to be realized through automated remediation actions, actions that can be completed in real-time so to limit the risk exposure caused by delayed response. Then, there is cloud-native DLP (data loss prevention) for MS teams. Here, the core idea is to join DoControl’s existing infrastructure, which already provides comprehensive SaaS data protection for Microsoft 365 users, and deliver cloud-native DLP for Microsoft Teams. In practice, this DLP solution will identify sensitive files shared across the entire ecosystem of Teams to alert security teams, while simultaneously maintaining its support for automated remediation of all workflows.
“We take pride in offering one of the fastest onboarding in the market and being able to address the critical concern of enterprises with large data volumes,” said Adam Gavish, CEO and Co-founder, DoControl. “Our agentless, user-friendly solution now builds an inventory of Microsoft 365 events in just hours, providing a complete SaaS data protection solution for organizations using Microsoft 365.”
The development in question brings a rather intriguing follow-up to one recent report from Statista, where it was claimed that staggering 80% of Fortune 500 organizations relied on Microsoft applications for their daily operations in 2022. However, despite the extensive use, it has been conveyed, at length, that these applications lack the robust security features essential for safeguarding sensitive data in today’s increasingly complex, and especially vulnerable digital landscape. The severity of such a problem can be further contextualized if you look at DoControl’s own 2023 SaaS Security Threat Landscape Report, which found that large companies were storing an average of 1,773 SaaS assets per employee, leaving them as attractive targets for bad actors.
Mind you, other companies have come up with DLP solutions to prevent sensitive data exposure in SaaS apps, but thus far, they have failed to fulfill the speed demands of modern businesses. This loosely translates to how, under those previous efforts, onboarding and scanning of substantial data would take weeks or even months. Even when we try and look past it, there is no real-time data integrity to protect you from changes which can occur in the app before scanning even takes place. Fortunately enough, DoControl’s latest brainchild solves the whole set of problems in one go.
Founded in 2020, DoControl has risen up the ranks as an agentless, event-driven SaaS Security Platform, which helps organizations expose their SaaS risk, resolve it quickly, and then automatically remediate over time through granular no-code workflows. The company’s SSP currently uncovers all SaaS users, third-party collaborators, assets and metadata, OAuth applications, groups, and activity events. DoControl not only helps all these parties mitigate risk, but it also empowers them to achieve the same without making any sacrifices whatsoever on the business enablement front.
