Drata, the leading continuous security and compliance automation platform, has officially announced the launch of a new product called Adaptive Automation, which is designed to help GRC professionals save time. According to certain, this it does by automating more of their compliance program through customized tests within Drata’s platform, doing it all from a no-code test builder. In practice, though, Adaptive Automation brings to the fore an ability to let customers move past Drata’s pre-built tests so to seamlessly deploy custom tests that best match their security and compliance needs. Furthermore, given the refactored automation engine, customers can now collect and validate evidence across more sources using nested conditions. Not just that, implementing the creation of custom tests directly within the Drata platform further enables Adaptive Automation to exceed conventional limits of continuous monitoring and achieve, on a holistic level, better compliance automation. Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, it packs together an expanded AWS Services Coverage, taking it from 16 to 44 AWS services. This should go a long distance in the context of improving testing capabilities and coverage. On top of that, Adaptive Automation will also roll out support for other cloud solutions, including Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Next up, we have the prospect of streamlining the entire audit process, where well-documented custom tests ensure that auditors have a comprehensive understanding of each test, its evaluation process, and the data used for validation. Such information, like one might guess, ends up doing a lot to enhance our audit readiness, and at the same time, expedite the audit experience.
“When Drata launched three years ago, we accelerated compliance automation past traditional players in the market and did away with the one-size-fits-all approaches to compliance,” said Adam Markowitz, Co-Founder and CEO of Drata. “We’re transforming GRC yet again with Adaptive Automation, so our customers can continue building compliance programs rooted in automation without sacrificing configurability, and maintain stakeholder trust.”
Rounding up highlights here is a lifecycle management capacity for tests. This capacity empowers development teams to collaborate on tests before they are published so to ensure complete alignment with the external security and compliance requirements, as well as the organization’s own set of standards.
Alongside the Adaptive Automation solution, Drata has also introduced new AI capabilities designed to provide secure, AI-driven automation. The stated capabilities will markedly hit the floor by joining the company’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) offering. Once embedded into the given offering, they should be able to effectively automate the analysis of vendor questionnaire responses and deliver a concise summary of potential risks. Hold on, there is more, considering we still haven’t discussed Drata’s decision to launch support for the FedRAMP Readiness Framework. By doing so, the company has basically enabled organizations working with the U.S. federal government to organize, manage, and meet the diverse baseline parameters for the framework based on specific sensitivity and security requirements of their business, data, and systems.
“A key reason why ChurnZero chose Drata over other players in the space is because of the platform’s deep integrations with AWS, and Adaptive Automation amplifies that value for us even further. With enhanced configurability and evidence validation, the new capabilities from Drata will not only elevate our compliance program but also set a new standard in automation excellence,” said Michael Kipp, Director of Technology Operations at ChurnZero.
