“The simplicity, agility, visibility, and control of the Cato SASE Cloud bring world-class security protection and optimal network performance to businesses of all sizes. Driven by security and networking experts, Cato has the right service DNA and technology to become the mission-critical platform for the digital enterprise."

There’s more than one path on the journey to zero trust. Although the goal of Zero Trust is the same regardless of the specifics—to remove trust assumptions and reduce cyber risk—there are different ways to implement the tools and processes that make Zero Trust possible. Cato was a pioneer in the cloud's integration of networking and security. Cato provides the world’s most robust single-vendor SASE platform, converged with Cato SD-WAN and a complete cloud-native security service edge, Cato SSE 360, including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Firewall as a Service (FWaaS) into a global cloud service. Cato optimizes and secures application access for all users, locations, and applications and empowers IT with a simple and easy-to-manage networking and security architecture. Cato's vision is to deliver a next-generation secure network architecture that eliminates the complexity, costs, and risks connected with legacy IT approaches based on fragmented point solutions. This vision is aligned with Gartner's Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Security Service Edge (SSE) frameworks. With Cato, organizations can safely and effectively connect every user to any application from any location. With no assistance from the IT departments, Cato can quickly implement new functionalities and retain a high level of security because of our cloud-native design. The IT department and company are prepared for whatever comes next with Cato.

The following features are included in Cato's cloud-native security stack, SSE 360, which was developed utilizing the Cato Single Pass Cloud Engine (SPACE) architecture: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA/SDP), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Firewall as a Service (FWaaS) with Advanced Threat Prevention (IPS, Next Generation Anti-Malware), SSE 360 scales without the need to size, patch, or upgrade equipment or other point solutions to decrypt and examine all business traffic. The self-service CATO Management Application is used to centrally and consistently manage security policies and events. Cato can further secure the network with a comprehensive Managed Threat Detection and Response (MDR) service to detect compromised endpoints.Utilizing laptops, tablets, and smartphones, Cato SASE Cloud offers customers zero-trust network access (SDP/ZTNA) to on-premises and cloud applications. Users can safely connect to the closest Cato PoP utilizing a powerful multi-factor authentication system using a Cato client or their browser's access. Only applications authorized for the users according to identity, access policy, and user context receive traffic. Cato's security stack thoroughly inspects all traffic throughout the session to stop malware from spreading from compromised endpoints.

The Cato Socket SD-WAN device establishes a last-mile connection from a physical site to the closest Cato PoP. The combination of fiber, cable, xDSL, and 4G/LTE connections is up to the customer.

The socket uses multiple traffic management techniques, including active-active link utilization, application- and user-aware QoS priorities, dynamic path selection to get around link blackouts and brownouts, and packet duplication to get around packet loss. The socket may route site-to-site traffic across MPLS and the Internet to meet local and application-specific needs. A private global backbone of over 75 PoPs connected by many SLA-backed network providers serves as the foundation for Cato SASE Cloud. The PoPs software constantly checks the providers for jitter, packet loss, and latency to identify the optimum path for each packet in real time.

Cato's backbone design provides end-to-end route optimization for WAN and cloud traffic and a self-healing architecture to ensure optimal service availability. In comparison to the unreliable public Internet and at a lower cost than global MPLS and other legacy backbones, our clients enjoy the connection. Cloud-native ZTNA delivers secure remote access as an integral part of a company’s global network and security infrastructure. A global, cloud-scale platform supports any number of remote users within their geographical regions. Performance improves with end-to-end optimized access to any application using a global private backbone. Risk is minimized before and after users access the network through strong authentication and continuous traffic inspection for threat prevention. Cloud-native ZTNA makes mobile access easy to deploy, easy to use, and easy to secure.
