Kuala Lumpur, 7th February 2024: Malaysia’s premier digital infrastructure event, Datacentre & Cloud Infrastructure (DCCI) Summit is pacing to create new benchmarks for its third annual edition at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia on 14 – 15 May 2024.
While it has already gathered significant backing from the public and private sector, the platform continues to receive the unwavering support from it oldest ally, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, the CEO of MDEC said, “MDEC is thrilled to collaborate with DCCI as a Strategic Partner, advancing Malaysia’s digital infrastructure landscape and fostering industry collaboration within the datacentre and cloud industry. This aligns seamlessly with the Malaysia Digital (MD) national strategic initiative and further reinforces our vision to position Malaysia as the digital hub of ASEAN. Through significant global cooperation and partnerships with tech ecosystem enablers, MDEC is intensifying efforts to accelerate digital upliftment in the rapidly evolving digital economy.”
Over the past two years, DCCI has left no stone unturned when it comes to bridging the gaps between key industry stakeholders and the most promising datacentre and cloud solution providers. As a direct consequence of the above, the platform has already linked 1500+ industry professionals with the leading industry giants and the most reliable newcomers, all the while making headlines and forging strategic partnerships.
Now, regarded as the home turf for Malaysia’s datacentre and cloud landscape, it continues to attract these professionals who are vying to make a statement in the industry. The upcoming edition will host 500+ datacentre and cloud experts from 200+ leading public and private enterprises across Malaysia to take the country’s digital infrastructure to new heights.
The organizing body, Tradepass has always worked relentlessly towards steering DCCI in the right direction where it can support Malaysia and its many organisations including key government entities in realizing their vision and objectives.
It’s perhaps the reason why the upcoming edition also has the extensive support from numerous other key government organisations and top corporations across Malaysia. The digital economy with its current trajectory will contribute 25.5% to Malaysia’s GDP by 2025 with the country emerging as the preferred location for digital technology deals, hitting RM110 billion in 2023.
A clear testament to the above forecast could be the latest MoU between Malaysia’s Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Investment of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who’ve entered a strategic partnership on the development of datacentres in Malaysia.
