Infusing Innovation with a Brand Refresh to Scale Up the World’s MSP Posture

Evo Security, a leading identity and access management (IAM) company focused on Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and their customers, has officially announced a major brand refresh, along with upcoming product releases and significant enhancements to its existing solutions.

According to certain reports, the stated brand refresh happens to focus on the concept “Managed Security Starts with Identity” so to showcase Evo’s bid to provide modern security best practices built on comprehensive identity and privileged access management.

As for the updates Evo has introduced across its existing assortment of solutions, the list begins from its admin portal, which now features a modernized, user-friendly interface with improved navigation, onboarding, and quality-of-life enhancements like dark mode, streamlined multi-tenancy, and easier access to everyday tasks, data, and analytics. Such an interface, like you can guess, treads up a long distance to let MSPs efficiently manage identity security controls, monitor activity, and assign privileges across large client bases.

Next up, we must dig into the company’s updated mobile apps that will have every tool, moving forward, to become the preferred authenticator app for MSPs and their end users. We get to say because these apps now deliver at your disposal easier navigation, key customization, dark mode, offline codes, and device registration.

Then, there is the prospect of multi-factor authentication. In essence, Evo MFA makes it possible for MSPs to deploy a second layer of user authentication when logging into Windows workstations and servers. Here, the newly-introduced enhancements include an updated agent, improved deployment flexibility, easier administration, one-click user directory sync, and aggressive pricing that leads to significantly greater profit margins compared to legacy solutions.

Joining the mix here would be the company’s revamped single sign-on facility. Given the update in question, Evo SSO can allow MSPs to replace legacy SSO solutions with a brandable login designed to support the multi-tenant use case of MSPs. This includes securing any SAML-based web application with a wide variety of configurations used internally by MSPs and across all customers at a far more competitive price point, facilitating a substantial increase in profit margin compared to existing solutions.

Another update worth a here is rooted in the company’s Managed RADIUS solution, which is understood to be well-equipped in the context of helping MSPs apply a second layer of user authentication to VPNs and firewalls. You see, unlike other solution providers, Evo hosts and manages the RADIUS server on behalf of the MSP and all customers. The updates for this one include improved configuration flexibility and broader applicability across network devices.

Finally, Evo has also advanced its cornerstone privileged access solution, Technician Elevation, to a point where it now offers a streamlined management interface, updated agent, granular time-based controls, and more flexibility on deployment.

Turning our attention towards the solutions that the company is now set to bring forth, they include End User Elevation, which can simplify how MSPs manage privilege escalation for standard end users at their customers. The stated solution should be able to offer users automated, time-bound privilege elevation, thus reducing technician time and the risk of security breaches by ensuring end users have the access they need when they need it.

Beyond that, Evo is looking to provide help desk verification capabilities that will cut back on the risk of social engineering and identity fraud by enabling technicians to quickly and securely verify a user’s identity when calling a help desk or answering a ticket. The overarching idea here is to improve account takeover liability, and at the same time, enhance user experience for MSPs and their customers.
