Motorola Strengthens Smartphone Security and Enterprise Tools at MWC 2026

New partnerships and platforms focus on privacy, smarter device management, and safer mobile experiences

2 March 2026, Barcelona – At Mobile World Congress 2026, Motorola, a Lenovo company, announced a major expansion of its consumer and enterprise offerings. The company revealed new security-focused solutions designed to protect everyday users while also giving businesses deeper visibility and control over their mobile devices.

The headline announcement was a long-term partnership with the GrapheneOS Foundation. GrapheneOS is known for building one of the most secure and privacy-focused mobile operating systems, based on the Android Open Source Project. Through this collaboration, Motorola plans to support future smartphones that are engineered for GrapheneOS compatibility, bringing advanced security features to a broader global audience.

By combining GrapheneOS’s hardened software design with Motorola’s hardware expertise and Lenovo’s ThinkShield security framework, the partnership aims to raise the bar for smartphone privacy and data protection. The companies will continue working together on research, software updates, and new security capabilities, with more developments expected over time.

Motorola also introduced Moto Analytics, a new enterprise-grade analytics platform created for IT teams managing large fleets of devices. Unlike traditional enterprise mobility tools that mainly focus on access control, Moto Analytics provides real-time insights into how devices are actually performing. This includes app stability, battery health, and network connectivity.

With this information, organizations can identify problems early, fix issues faster, and reduce downtime for employees. Built as part of the ThinkShield ecosystem, Moto Analytics is designed to integrate smoothly into existing enterprise systems and scale as business needs grow.

Another key update is the expansion of the Moto Secure app with a new feature called Private Image Data. This feature helps protect personal information hidden inside photos, such as location data and device details. When turned on, it automatically removes sensitive metadata from newly captured images, without changing the image quality or requiring manual action.

Private Image Data works quietly in the background and adds to Moto Secure’s existing set of privacy tools. The app already allows users to manage app permissions, protect files, and monitor device security, all from one place. The new feature will begin rolling out to selected Motorola signature devices in the coming months.

Together, these announcements show Motorola’s focus on building secure, intelligent, and business-ready mobile solutions. By addressing both personal privacy and enterprise efficiency, the company is positioning itself for a future where smartphones play an even bigger role in work and daily life.
