New $13.7 million contract brings AI, automation, and integrated security tools to modernize cyber risk and compliance operations

Telos Corporation is bringing these capabilities together through a new $13.7 million contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Under the 18-month task order, Telos will deploy its complete Xacta suite for the HHS Office of the Chief Information Officer and Office of Information Security. The project includes Xacta 360, Xacta.io, and Xacta.ai, along with cybersecurity services, enterprise integration, training, and data migration.
The project is designed to modernize cyber governance, risk, and compliance activities across HHS. In simple terms, the technology will help security teams understand their cyber risks, manage security requirements, document compliance activities, and monitor systems more efficiently.
Xacta 360 will support several important security processes, including authorization workflows, control assessments, compliance documentation, and continuous monitoring. These activities are essential for organizations that need to demonstrate that their technology systems meet established security requirements.
Xacta.io will bring information from different security tools into a more connected environment. This can give security teams a broader view of their cyber risk and security posture instead of requiring them to examine information across multiple disconnected systems.
Artificial intelligence will also have a role in the modernization effort. Through Xacta.ai, Telos will apply AI-powered analysis and automation to selected cybersecurity and compliance activities. The company says these capabilities are intended to reduce manual work, speed up compliance processes, and provide useful insights into security risks.
Another important element is the platform’s FedRAMP High authorization. This represents the highest security baseline within the FedRAMP program and supports the use of Xacta software as a service in federal environments that handle sensitive unclassified information.
For HHS, the implementation combines technology with services that can support adoption across the organization. Training and data migration are included in the contract, helping teams transition to the new environment while bringing existing information into the platform.
