Palo Alto Networks, a leader in the cybersecurity space, has officially announced the launch of Prisma® SASE 3.0, which is designed to help you future-proof and transform your workforce. According to certain reports, Prisma® SASE 3.0 brings forth Zero Trust capabilities to secure both managed and unmanaged devices with the industry’s first natively integrated enterprise browser, AI-powered data security, and acceleration of dynamic applications. More on the acceleration would reveal how it can make operations upto five times faster. Anyway, talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level; let’s begin from Prisma Access Browser. We touched on how the solution can protect all those organizations involved in supplying zero-trust security to unmanaged devices, but what we still haven’t mentioned is the fact that, upon being paired with AI-driven data security, such a browser can identify up to 2.3 million new and unique attacks every day. Contextualizing the importance of this solution even further would be a Forrester report, where it was revealed that, since 2022, more than half of employees, contractors, and third parties have been found to access corporate data through BYO devices like personal laptops and mobile devices. Against the trend in question, Prisma SASE 3.0 can be expected to provide monitoring and mitigations of threats in real-time so to ensure, no matter what device they use, the stated users can enjoy a safe experience.
Turning our attention towards the AI-driven security coming into play here, it marks a breakthrough capability in data classification accuracy for Palo Alto Networks’ already comprehensive Data Security solution. You see, powered by a comprehensive LLM setup, such a classification facility basically combines the strengths of context-aware machine learning (ML) models with the power of LLM-based natural language understanding to increase the accuracy of ML behavioral analytics. This, in turn, helps the user in monitoring and protecting sensitive data wherever it resides and travels. Another detail worth a mention here would be how Prisma SASE 3.0 allows for SaaS, GenAI, and cloud applications to drive business growth, while simultaneously securing corporate data.
“Prisma SASE 3.0 is upending existing security approaches to close security gaps and address access challenges. The problem of securing unmanaged devices can not be understated, nor can the benefits of App Acceleration and data classification accuracy. We took an already industry-leading SASE solution and layered in the transformational capabilities to secure access for the modern enterprise,” said Anand Oswal, SVP and General Manager of Network Security at Palo Alto Networks.
Finally, there is the App Acceleration aspect, which makes Prisma SASE the first ever SASE solution to accelerate applications individually for every user, leveraging patented app-aware technology. To facilitate the same at scale, Palo Alto Networks is already with leading cloud service providers and enterprise applications, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Slack, ServiceNow, Google, Zoom and SAP. The idea behind these collaborations isn’t just to conceive faster response, but at the same time, it is also to enhance the application’s qualitative performance.
“Zoom Workplace, our AI-powered one collaboration platform, redefines how organizations connect and communicate, driving efficiency and effectiveness like never before. By pairing with Palo Alto Networks’ App Acceleration for Prisma SASE, we’re not just redefining how teams connect and collaborate, but also enabling every interaction to be safeguarded by industry-leading security and consistently optimized for the best user experience. It’s this seamless integration of cutting-edge technology and unwavering commitment to offering the best user experiences that sets us apart,” said Brendan Ittelson, Chief Ecosystem Officer at Zoom.
